Aurora
Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian music writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, came out in May 2015 on Decca Records to great approval of bloggers in the music industry and media. Half the World Away - by Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two covers worth noting that the artist has done. Katy Perry's endorsement of the song Runaway in a blog post brought the singer additional acknowledgement. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was discovering a piano in her loft and being amazed by the music. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to learn music more as a hobby as a career. The Aksnes family inspired her to write. Bjork and Leonard Cohen are among her favourite writers. The singer decided to perform the songs she wrote publicly after her mother said they could help people not gain acclaim for her work, but instead help the people around them understand their importance and the ways they can affect the world. The piano was first played by her when she was only six and was writing her first song when she was nine. The family did not have any idea until she was fourteen. Aurora's fame was not her goal. The singer claims she is a fan of creating songs. According to her, she believes that music can help people feel more relaxed.
